Open March 1, 2011, Rosa Mexicano South Beach encompasses a chic setting and modern Mexican fare by talented corporate chef Christian Plotczyk and executive chef James Cawley. Now, the recently opened restaurant at the architecturally stunning 1111 Lincoln Road building is introducing a multi-course pre-theatre menu, specially created for guests who enjoy dining before going to the movies, symphony, or theatre.
An added enhancement, guests who visit Rosa Mexicano Monday-Friday, from 4-7 p.m., can take advantage of the restaurant’s bustling Happy Hour, offering half price drinks, imported beers, and select appetizers, in the bar area.
Available seven days a week from 5:30-6:30 p.m., the pre-theatre menu offers a choice of 2 or 3 courses featuring Rosa Mexicano’s contemporary Mexican dishes, made-to-order daily and prepared with the freshest ingredients available. The 2-course prix-fixe menu, priced at $18 per person, gives guests the option to order two items from a selection of entradas, platillos principals, or desserts. The 3-course prix-fixe menu, priced at $26 per person, allows diners to choose three items from the pre-theatre menu.
Delicious pre-theatre menu items include tempting appetizers such as Rosa Mexicano’s signature guacamole en molcajete, prepared table-side, with avocado, jalapeƱo, tomato, onion, and cilantro, served with warm, house-made corn tortillas, crispy tortilla chips, and house made salsas; and the restaurant’s crispy flautas de pollo, fried tortillas stuffed with juicy white meat chicken, topped with salsa, queso fresco and crema. Main Dishes encompass a delicious enchiladas de mole de xico, two soft corn tortillas filled with tangy shredded chipotle beef, topped with Veracruz mole; salmon en Manchamanteles, grilled organic salmon filet, served over zucchini and roasted corn with tropical fruit mole. Desserts on offer include the new flan de rosa, vanilla flan infused with deep, dark, espresso served on an ancho chile brownie with Mexican cinnamon whipped cream.
