Disney Artist Tim Rogerson to Visit the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and The Village at Gulfstream Park

World famous Disney artist Tim Rogerson will be making a special visit to the Family Resource Center at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital on Friday, March 4 at 11:30 am.  Rogerson will visit patients in their rooms, as well as sketch the Disney character of their choice.  Rogerson believes in the power of healing through art and enjoys connecting with children and sharing art as a common interest.

After his visit to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Rogerson will be showcasing his artwork at the Barker Animation Art Gallery in The Village at Gulfstream Park. From March 4-6 art aficionados can meet the artist in person, see him sketch live and have their artwork personally embellished.

Tim Rogerson graduated from the Ringling School of Art & Design in 2004 with a BFA in Illustration. His unique style was recognized even as an undergrad when his work was chosen for the "Best of Ringling" exhibitions of 2003 and 2004. Since that time he has taken the art world by storm with his radiant colors and whimsical characters. He is one of the select few artists chosen by Disney to portray their star creations and won critical acclaim for his modern cubist twist to the images.

Herbert and Gloria Barker, owners of Barker Animation, have organized similar events in their gallery’s original Connecticut location for years.  They are looking forward to hosting this event in South Florida for the first time ever.

“Tim Rogerson is a Disney star.  My wife and I are fortunate to have him as our guest,” stated Herbery Barker.  “We can’t wait to see the smiles on the children’s faces.”

Patrons can meet Rogerson on March 4 from 5-10 pm, March 5 from 2-10 pm, and March 6 from 2-8 pm at Barker Animation Art Gallery, located on 600 Silks Run, Suite 1270 954-457-2280, in The Village at Gulfstream Park.
